Progress May 2017
The "Zero Gas hands-on training" programme is ready!
The training will be held at the premises of VSL, Delft (NL) on 12 June 2017, the day before the start of the GAS Analysis 2017 Conference in Rotterdam.
The aim of the “Hands-on Training Zero Gas” is to promote the accurate assessment of the quality of zero gas, typically nitrogen and clean dry air. Zero gases are used for the preparation of gas standards and for the calibration of air quality monitoring equipment.
The Certification Protocol for Zero Gas, developed under the MACPoll project, and the documentary standard ISO 19229 (under revision in ISO/TC158) will form the basis of the training.
This training is particularly intended for zero gas users such as gas producers and manufacturers of gas purification systems. There are few places left!
Experts from VSL (the Netherlands), FMI (Finland) and NPL (United Kingdom) will give the training.
Progress December 2016
The NWIP for the revision of the written standard ISO 19229 "Gas analysis – Purity analysis and the treatment of purity data" has been accepted. The objective is to include the Certification Protocol for Zero Gas developed in the MACPoll project in ISO 19229. The proposal has been presented at the last ISO/TC158/WG3 meeting and the Working Draft is in preparation.
On the 12th of June 2017, a "Zero Gas hands-on training" will be held at VSL. The aim of this training is to facilitate the uptake and correct use of the Certification Protocol for Zero Gas and therefore of the documentary standard ISO 19229 (under revision) among end users such as gas producers and manufacturers of gas purification systems and zero gas generators.
